My Tattoo Adventures
(more to come! Keep checking back!)
The fateful day when it all began... Standing outside "Moving Pictures" in Wooster, Ohio (note the Amish guy in the background), all pumped and ready to get my FIRST TATTOO!!!
Okay, so I might have been just a LITTLE nervous...
But I totally took it like the badass that I am, haha.
Halfway finished! It didn't hurt nearly as bad as I thought it would, I got to watch Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire the whole time!
And thus, the addiction begins...
I'm distracted by how bitchin' my hair looks here...
First tattoo! Now I forget it's even there, haha.
My second tattoo - at North End Tattoo in Wooster, Ohio. It hurt pretty bad, but was over in a few minutes.
Tattoo #2 - A friend and I both got spiderweb tattoos on our hands together that day, but hers looked different than mine.
Tattoo #3 - The first a streak of "New Year's Eve" tattoos. It's the Dream Theater band symbol on my right inner forearm.
Tattoo #4 - My little Mouse insignia I've been drawing everywhere since high school. Got it at North End Tattoo from an apprenticing artist at a discounted price.
Tattoo #5 - I liked this design because it was spooky and looks like a musical eighth note. Got this at "Eternal Tattoo" in Springfield, MO.
Got the skull wing note thing filled in/shaded.
Tattoo #6 - This was my first tattoo from Ryan at Eternal Tattoo. There were tornado warnings going on all night and we were hoping the electricity wouldn't go out.
Getting my hearts from Ryan on New Years Eve. I don't remember them hurting much at all.
Tattoo #7 - I got the idea because I doodled two little hearts on my arm and when I walked by a mirror, I liked how it looked. So I picked the designs and got the tattoo.
I've wanted this tattoo on me ever since I saw the comic Lenore with the "Touch me, and gain a stump" quote - because I don't like people touching me.
Ryan finishing tattooing Lenore on my inner arm. I didn't do too well with the outline - my iron was low and I got light-headed, so we had to finish it later.
Tattoo #8 - The finished Lenore. I made it through this time - yay!
Getting ready for my traditional New Years Eve tattoo - showing my bare arm for the last time.
Outline of clock piece. The hands are pointed to 12 because I'd felt like 2012 had been my best year of my life, thusfar (hence getting the tattoo on New Year's Eve).
Before the final session of getting the clock piece finished.
Ryan and I screaming for different reasons while he finishes the clock piece.
Weird random tattoo selfie.
Tattoo #9 - The clock piece, officially finished. I love this one and the meaning behind it.
Having some coffee at Eternal Tattoo before getting my next bit of ink.
Always a fun time to be in Ryan's chair.
Smeary goodness.
Tattoo #10 - Korean for "friend", I got this for a close friend who was moving to Korea. I like the brush-stroke look of it.
Went to Eternal Tattoo for "May the Fourth be With You" for a $20 Star Wars tattoo - which hurt, apparently.
