LeahMouse: The Early Years
1987My dad got me my very own rifle and began teaching me about gun safety very early. I still have this very rifle.
1996I was playing a game of Balderdash with my dad and step-mom, and we were laughing our asses off. And yes, I had braces.
1997Me and my friend Holly all dressed up for the 50's sock-hop themed dance at school. Her mom made our skirts.
1999Someone from yearbook came into the class and stuck their camera in my face and went, "SMILE!". This is the face they got.
1999Freshman year high school Science Club trip to Toronto. We got all dressed up to go see Phantom of the Opera at the Pantages theater. It was the most amazing thing!
1999Freshman year in high school band. This was taken with a disposable camera - no such thing as smartphones or digital cameras back then!
2001Deeply engrossed in a John Saul novel and exploiting my Resting Bitch Face to it's fullest potential.
2001I was the world's happiest baritone player... Marching band was seriously the best four years of my youth, though.
2001The high school band/choir took a trip to Orlando - this was my response to "beach day". My friend and I spent the whole day in the arcade.
2002In was in the orchestra for our high school production of "West Side Story", and the makeup people gave me battle wounds backstage.
2002One of my Senior pictures. This is all the mouse stuff I had from my room - I brought it to the photo studio. I took my nickname very seriously.
2003In my very first apartment in Columbus on High Street when I went to Ohio State. It was a crappy apartment, but I loved it.
2003I had to total my favorite car - its name was LittleMouse. This was at the car funeral I had for it.
2004Waiting for pizza outside Papa John's...one that I would later work at, twice, and get unjustly fired from once.
